Job Hunting Resources in the Century Library

Community Users
If you are a Minnesota resident, but are not a student, staff or faculty member of Century College you may obtain a community user card at the circulation desk
for $1.00. With this card you can check out books and use the library databases from home. Also, please stop at the reference or circulation desks for help in
logging on to the library computers. A state ID or drivers license will be required.

    Provides full text for more than 2,300 journals, including full text for more than 1,100 peer-reviewed titles. Business Source Premier is superior to the competition
    in full text coverage in all disciplines of business, including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance and economics.
  • LexisNexis
    News, business and legal resources. The company profiles tab, an option listed under the "Business" search option, is a rich source of information on business.
  • Reference USA
    Contains business and residential addresses and phone numbers. Search by type of business, then limit to a certain area to find potential employers near you.

    A U.S. Department of Labor-sponsored Web site that offers comprehensive and reliable information on careers and job opportunities.

  • Minnesota Works.Net
    A self-service system provided by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) where member employers and job seekers can find each other .
  • Occupational Outlook Handbook
    For hundreds of different types of jobs, find the training and education needed, the earnings, job prospects, what workers do on the job, working conditions, and more.
